WHERE THEY WERE:
CloudSAFE is a managed cloud and disaster recovery provider that runs public cloud, private cloud, managed DR, backup, and remote infrastructure for mid-market operators in food and beverage, manufacturing, insurance, and healthcare, with deep IBM i and AIX expertise most providers no longer have. Strong growth had come from founders' networks and trade shows, but it was time for a refresh.
THE MESSAGE:
Mission-critical infrastructure, secure, resilient, proven. CloudSAFE is the provider that combines public cloud and still speaks IBM i, tests DR before you need it, and puts a named team on your account. The content job is to say that where a mid-market IT director looks when a Power9 server hits end of support or an auditor asks when DR was last tested.
THE SYSTEM:
Foundation first. An ICP workshop, a brand and keyword audit, and a five-pillar content strategy: legacy system resilience, DR ROI, high-touch support, compliance-centric continuity, and modernization through DR. The keyword gap against Connectria, Kyndryl, and the hyperscalers became the publishing queue.
Website redesign copy. Every page of the relaunched site: homepage, eight solution pages, four industry pages, why CloudSAFE, partners, team, FAQs written for AI search, and the launch posts for leadership and the company page.
Content engine. Four long-form pieces a month, one to two a week, each tied to a pillar and a target keyword, published to the site and remixed for LinkedIn. A three-to-four-week backlog kept the calendar ahead of trade shows and board meetings. Monthly SEO reporting on impressions, position, and keywords tracked what the engine earned.
WHAT IT PRODUCED:
Before the relaunch the site ranked for 54 keywords and seven of them sent traffic. In the first three months after launch it appeared for 860+ search queries, earned 40K impressions, and moved its average position from 22 to under 10. The site drew 19,000 visitors in Q4 2025, its first full quarter with the engine running. The content is doing the ranking. Articles on IBM i disaster recovery, Power9 end of support, and FlashCopy backup sit alongside the solution pages in the top results, and the site now shows for the category terms it never had a page for: managed disaster recovery, remote infrastructure management, iSeries disaster recovery, managed backup. LinkedIn followers and impressions rose with it, and the engine carried the company through two trade shows, a board cycle, and an acquisition process without a marketing hire.
